BAZAAR NOTES.

Who revels not in the flowers, in their beauty and fragrance? These lovely children of the dust are redolent of charms'and graces, and bespeak in accents not to be mistaken the wonderwork of the Creator. We like to see them in our homes, in our offices, verily in any place where we spend some time. Failing to see their natural selves we greet their graces as translated on the canvas. Do you care to see some faithful interpretation of nature? Fail not, then, to have a good studied look at the wonderful poppies as painted by Mrs E, Bradbury. There are two panels, one a panel of scarlet poppies, and the other’ a panel of white and speckled ones. The panels have not been seen by many people yet, but every one who has seen them has chanted their praises, and has been most lavish in complimenting the talented lady we are fortunate to have in our midst. The different stalls have been erected, and have certainly an enticing appearance. What a riot of colour! You will see there colours of the sunbeams as through a pi’ism. Dame rumour shys that many of the ladies in charge of stalls have been seen tramping of late in miry roads in quest of articles for the Bazaar. Imagine refined ladies jumping logs and bushes and wading ankle deep in the mud. It is only a noble devotion to tbe cause that may prompt such strenuous labour. Display energy and grit and tenacity, and success will be yours. Have a wishbone, but above all a backbone, friends, A jellyfish is easier exaxshed than a “bone” fish.
