CAPTAIN HARDHAM, V.C.
Captain W. Hardhara, V.C., of Petone, has passed the Military Medical Board as fit for active service once more, and may leave for the front again. Captain Hardham Avas severely Avounded in the earlier stages of the Ngav Zealanders' part in the war in Europe, and on the voyage out his life was despaired of, and he had to be carried ashore at Hobart. Some Avecks later he recovered sufficiently to return to New Zealand, and, on regaining his health, he was placed in charge of the Soldiers’ Convalescent Home at Hamner. Noav he intends to get back to the front as speedily as possible. Captain Clifton, formerly of Pahiatua, is temporarily in charge of the Hanmer Convalescent Home. At the Queen Mary Hospital, Hanmer Springs, on Thursday, Captain and Mrs Hardham Avere made the recipients of several very useful presents.
