The Borough Tre/isnrer reported ut Monday night’s Couneil meeting as under: — \ \ The sum of £526 10s 8d was reeoivod during the month of Se‘plember, and placed to the credit of the district fund account. The balances of the various funds at the Bank of New Zealand as at the 30th September,.l9l7, were as follows: —District fund account, debit, £490 3s 3d, cemetery account, credit, £l2 7s Bd, and the ledger balances at the same date as follows: —Cemetery, £l2 7s 8d; eon-, tractor's deposit, £3O; hospital and charitable aid, £4O 9s; library, £9 12s sd: sanitation, £IBO 11s 2d; Town Hall, £53 Ids 7d; Whirokino bridge interest, £l6 16s lid; Whirokino bridge interest No. 2, £2O 12s 3d; Shannon bridge interest, £lO 4s sd; Council Chamber interest, £lB 0s 8d; roads and streets loan No. 2, £9 IGs 3d; Beach road loan interest, £5 11s lOd, all in credit, a total of £407 19s 2d.
