RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

Dunedin Get. 7. James Douglas, from Athol, arrived at Dunedin by the South express on Saturday, and was seen to leave the plat term about 7.40 p.m. He was found raider the wheels of some carriages which were being shunted into position on the fourth line of rails from the platform. He was removed to the hospital, where his left leg, which was badly smashed below the knee, was amputated. His condition is critical.
