An official British report gives the number of prisoners eapiuml hy the Allies since April Oth Ibis year as follows; —■ British (Germans) 40,155 French, (Germans) 43,722 Italians (mostly Austrians) 40,(581 Russians (mostly Austrians) 37,221. Total 1157,770 Since the war began, the British have taken 102,218 Gorman prisoners. The Germans have captured 43,000 British, including Indians. The number of prisoners taken hy (he British in all theatres of war is 131,77(5 (excluding African natives). Approximately 5(5,(500 British troops have been taken hy the enemy (excluding African natives).
