(To the Editor). ■Sir. —I noticed in Saturday’s “Herald” that Hie Education Board contemplated transferring Air Fabites, first assistant, at tins school, lo the headmoster.-ldp of another school. As a parent, I am indebted to this teacher more than any other for ihe advancement of my children, ami his !o-s to ihe school will be deeply regret led by parents and children alike. Would it not be possible, sir, for the School Committee to iielilioii the Hoard to retain his services? —4 am, etc., PARENT, | The transfer offered to the first assistant meant promotion, hut is outside the Committee’s jurisdie(ion, no mailed how much (ho Committee appreciate the services of the first assistant.
