DOMINION MEAT EXPORT.
A return has been laid on the table of the ; House of Representatives showing the total quantity of meat exported from the Dominion during the years 1913, 1914, 1915, and 1910 respectively. The mutton exported during 1910 was as follows, the figures for 1915 being mentioned in parenthesis: —frozen, 1,200,230 cwts. (1,453,93-1), mutton joints, 10,077 cwts. (33,580). Beef-Frozen, 989,971 (757,509), salted 2,778 (3,788). Lamb—Frozen 960,438 (1,199,598), joints 584 (1,275). Pork Frozen, 0,141 (0,300), salted 10 (35); bacon and hams, 2,040 (3,409), Von I—Frozen, 10,007 (14,522). Similar figures regarding the number of stock slaughtered in the Dominion (excepting that slaughtered by farmers for sale or consumption on the premises) were as follow: —3,509,117 (3.989,017); large cattle, 883,925 (340,382): lambs, 3,348,018 (4.387,308); pigs, 170,257); calves,
