REDUCING AGE LIMIT.

19-YEAR-OLDS MAY BE CALLED UP. Wellington, August 19. There appears now to he a reasonably strong probability that the Government will submit to the House a proposal for the reduction of the age limit for military service with the Expeditionary Force from 29 to 19 years. The proposal is certain to meet with opposition in the House. A year ago it would have been defeated, but many members will support it now to defer the sending of the married men. If adopted the reduction of age will bring in 9,000 men, from whom it should he possible to obtain sufficient for three drafts of 1,920 men each. This would poslpone the calling up of the Second Division until April or Slay next year.
