A FATAL LEAP.

Napier, August 6. Robert John Couper, aged 50, a farmer from Wairoa, jumped from the second floor of the Masonic Hotel yesterday and died on his way to the hospital. Deceased suffered considerably from ill-health. His wife witnessed the fatal leap, but her hold on his night-clothing only succeeded in tearing out a portion.
