FOUND DEAD.

Tinuu'u Yesterday. Edward Cnlton, i'or seventeen years Town Clerk of Temnka, aged od years, was found dead at Ins home on Saturday. A gas jot was turned on._ Deceased had recently been in iil-healtli. Jlis wife was absent at Ha inner. At the inquest winch was held to-day at Temnka, it was stated that deceased complained on Thursday that he was suffering with neuralgia. He had a bad night on Thursday, and was no bettor on Friday. He was found on Saturday with a flexible gas pipe across his face under his overcoat. The jury returned a verdict that death was due to asphyxiation caused by gas administered whilst suffering' great pain. Gisborne, Yesterday. Tiie body of an elderly man named Wm. Collins was found alongside the railway at Ormond on Sunday morning. It is supposed he was struck by an engine at the crossing.
