BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at last night’s Council meeting as follows: — The sum of £440 7s (id was received during the month of June, and placed to the credit of the District Fund Account. The balances of the various funds at the Bank of New Zealand as at the 30th June, 1017, were as follows: District fund account, debit, £741) 15s Id, cemetery account, credit, £8 10 7d, and the ledger balances at the same date as follow: Cemetery £8 10s 7d, contractor’s deposit £3O, library £4 7s Id, reserves £2 10s (id, sanitation £32 9s 3d, town hall £4B 18s lid, Whirokino Bridge Loan £5 14s 9d, Shannon bridge loan £5 13s 7d, Whirokino bridge additions loan £l2 12s 7d, roads and streets loan No. 212 s Id, Beach road loan £2l 9s 7d, all in credit, a total of £173 4s lid. The accounts at debit are; Imprest cash £lO, gas works £l5O 4s 4d, genera! £402 19s (id, hospital and charitable aid £3 3s 7d, council chamber loan interest: £24 13s (id, gas works loan £248 2s Id, Town hall loan interest £O9, totalling £914 3s sd.
