PATRIOTIC SHOP.

The special effort in aid of the Y.ALC.A. War Fund was conducted al the Patriotic Shop by Airs Charles Robinson, assisted by Misses Symons and I. Robinson, and a very successful result—£2(s 14s—was realised. The competition for a cake was won by Alcsdames Teviotdale and Freeman, and Airs Beveridge won the camisole. Nobody guessed the name of a prize rooster donated by Mr AL IT. Walker, and the bird was sold. Air W. Hamer donated £1 worth of tickets to admit to his picture theatre. Gifts are acknowledged from the following:—Alcsdames AV oodroofc, John Robinson, Fee, Walls, F. Robinson, Hawke, Healey, W. Symons. J. Andrews, Barr, Patterson, A. Ross, Claris, Chrystall, John Ross, C. Robinson, Arthur Green, A. J. Gibbs, Kellow, Rough, McLeod, G. King, A. King, C. Symons, Preston, Gabites, Henderson, F. do Kidder, Renton, A. Speirs, A friend, Misses Spcirs, Armstrong (Akaroa), Stella Barber, Messrs Perrean, Fraser, _ Hamer, Huntley, Hughes, Jas. Robinson, A. L. Harper, O. Robinson, Al. H. Walker, Bullard, A. Speirs, and a friend. Air Edgar Cowley has very kindly pa in led the outside of the shop free of any cost, and provided a sign, and the Society is very grateful to him.

Next Saturday the shop will he under the charge of Mesdamcs J. W. Robinson and Harvey.
