SUICIDES IN CAMP.

“I want to ask the Minister of Defence,'without notice, whether he will assure the country that the number of suicide's that are reported to be taking place in our camps arc real or unreal?” said Dr. Thacker in the House of Representatives on Thursday afternoon. “I believe there have been a serious number of suicides in the camps,” he added, “and I myself have received letters from our men stating that the number is quite unwarranted.” The Minister said he could not answer the question until he had an official return, but he could say that the reports he had seen in the papers were in many cases quite inaccurate.
