MILITARY SERVICE BOARD.
DISTRICT CASES. The following district appeals were heard at the sitting of the Military Service Appeal Hoard at Palmerston yesterday:— The appeal of James Gardiner, farm manager, Pox ton, previously adjourned, was.re-heard. Since tho previous hearing appellant had done 5U chains'of fencing, and had ploughed 15 acres of land, besides other general farm work. To Captain Walker; His employer was not appealing on his behalf. He did not think an unlit man could i do appellant’s work. Captain Wajjier: “Isn't there some feeling in the district about your not going to camp’” Appellant: “No; only from one family." Decision was reserved. Ward John Stratford, farmer, Shannon. This appeal was again reviewed. The only change in the position was that the Himitangi property had been leased for three 'mouths. The Board reserved its decision.
