THE WAITOTARA.

CREW PICKED UP BY A FRENCH STEAMER. Dunedin, June 19, The Union Company has been advised that a cable message has been received form the captain of the Waitotara (abandoned, following an outbreak of lire) that all the crew have been picked up by a French steamer. The captain of the Waitotara states that she was burning fore and aft, and would probably burn for four or five days. He hopes that she will not be a total loss. She will be towed to if it is considered she will be worth salvaging.
