The Borough Treasurer reported at hist night's Council meeting as folloAvs: — The following amounts Avore received during tin* month of May and placed to credit as under; —District, fund account £342 12s 4d, cemetery account 17s (id. The balances of the various funds at the Bank of New Zealand as at the 31st May, I!H7, Avert* as follow: District fund account, debit, £237 2s 7d, cemetery account, credit, £lO 5s Id, and the ledger balances at (he same date as follow: Cemetery £lO 5s id, contractor's deposit £3O, gas works £lB 5s 3d, hospital and charitable aid £2B 4s 3d, library £5 14s Id, sanitation £OS 0s 2d, AVliirokino bridge interest £5 14s !)d, town hall £27 18s Id, Shannon bridge interest £5 13s 7d, council chamber £5 0s (id, Whirokino bridge No. 2 £l2 12s 7d, roads and streets No. 212 s Id, Beach road £2l 9s 7d, all in credit, a total of £230 IDs 3d.
