BLOAT STRUCK BY HUSBAND DURING QUARREL. Gisborne, June 10. A tragedy occurred to-night in Fox Street, where a Maori, named Abraham Te AA'horo, murdered his Avife, Charlotte, by striking her on the head with an axe. The murderer made good his escape, and so far has not been apprehended. The couple had boon quarrelling, to the neighbours' knoAvledge, for some days. The tragedy Avas Avitnessed by llieir little daughter, Miriam, aged eleven. She states that during a quarrel iu the kitchen her father rushed outside and got an axe. AAith this ho struck her mother.
