CURING “TEMPER.”
A clever mother hit upon a good idea, not lung ago, with her little daughter, avlio had violent spells of temper. Punishment, she found, got noAvhere, So one day she decided to try cold Avatcr. When a lit of temper same on, the mother took a basin of cold Avater and sponged the little girl's face and neck, holding the cold sponge especially long at the temples, behind the cars, and at the back of the neck. In a few moments the tense little muscles relaxed, the eyes grew less Avild, and the girl Avould lie doAvn, Then the mother would lake her daughter’s hand and talk to her lovingly but Jirmly on self-control. After six or seA'en treatments a complete cure Avas brought about, and it is uoav .several years since the little girl’s last fit of temper.
