SANSON TRAMWAY IMPROVEMENTS.

PROPOSED LOAN OF £IB,OOO

A Local Bill entitled ‘‘The Manaualu County Loan and Empowering Bill," is to be introduced at the session of .Parliament opening next month, the objects intended to be eJ)acted by such Bill being to enable the Manawatu County Council to raise, with the consent of the ratepayers, a special loan not exceeding £IB,OOO for, and in connection with, the following purposes:— fa) The extension of the line of the tramway into the hed of I lie Rangitikei river, (li) the laying of new sidings and the relaying of any part of the existing line, (c) the erection and acquisition of buildings, plant, etc., for the purposes of the tramway, and making alterations Pi existing buildings and machinery; (d) the acquisition of any land for the purposes of the tramway, te) the acquisition of additional locomotives, wagons and carriages, (f) the repayment to the Council’s General Account of £1,177 heretofore expended out of such account for the purposes of the tramway, (g) the acquisition, erection and equipment of a stone crushing and elevating plant, a,ml (h) the acquisition of road-making plant ami machinery.
