MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT.

A CHILD DROWNED. Napier, Yesterday. A motor car, owned by Peter Smith, collided with the hand-rail of a bridge near Petane last night. Mr and Airs Mooar and their children, a man mimed Wilkinson, and two others, were thrown out. One child was drowned, and the body Ims not been recovered. Wilkinson suffered minor injuries to a leg. Mrs Mooar was also thrown into the river, but was rescued. Mr and Mrs Mooar and their youngest; child arc in hospital. The rear pari of the car struck the wing of the bridge as the car was centering.
