WHEAT FOR NEW ZEALAND.
SUPPLIES FLOW AUSTRALIA. .Melbourne, May 13. The Commonwealth Government is considering an offer by the Hon. W. D. S. MacDonald, President of the Zealand Board of Trade, to purchase two million bushels of wheat for New Zealand, it is understood that the price offered is below 4s Ud per bushel, the price eh urged to local consumers. ‘■The above cablegram cannot ha taken as authoritative,” said Sir •lames Allen (Acting-Prime Minister), to whom it was referred by a Post reporter yesterday morning.
