MANAWATU GORGE COMMISSION.
The Manawatu Gorge Commission will resume its inquiry at the Courthouse, Palmerston North, on 22nd May, at 10.30 a.m. The-Com-mission has deluded that a number of local bodies should, at this stage, be discharged from any furl her participation in the inquiry, except only on the question of costs, including Akitio, Hawke’s Bay, Kiwilea, Wanganui, and Waitotara County Councils, Napier, Hastings, Wanganui, Masterlon, Marlon and Eoxton Borough Councils, Wellington City Corporation, CaslJccliiT, and Gonville Town Boards, The elimination of these bodies will leave the following local bodies definitely cited as parties to the inquiry:—Dannevirke, Eklahuna, Manawatu, Kairanga, Oroua, Pahiatua, Rangitikei, Waipawa and Woodville County Councils, Daimevjrke, Ecilding, Palmerston North, Woodville ami Pahiatua Borough Councils.
