PATRIOTIC SHOP.
The Patriotic .Shop was opened as usual on Saturday last, and was under the charge of Misses Moxham, Price and Hare, who had a most successful day. the takings being the second best for an ordinary Saturday in the history of the simp. The guessing competition was won by Mrs Waters, and the quoits competitions by Mrs -I. M. Darr and Mr ,R. Mc.Mnrray. Next Saturday, as .Mrs Greig and Miss Russ are unable to act, the simp will be taken by Airs Preston and Miss F. Robinson. A consignment of delicious apples from Motueka will be on sale, also a sack of prime table onions. The usual monthly meeting of the Foxton Patriotic Society will he held on Thursday evening of next week, the 17th May.
