BOWLING.
The final match of the season for the Dixon Cup was played on the Palmerston North green on Saturday, the challengers being: Mitchell, Galland, Bolderbeck, Roach (s), of Hie Shannon Club. The holders had no difficulty in retaining possession of Hie trophy, the Shannon players being defeated by 28 point* to 17. A match for the Nye Ferns will be played on the local green tomorrow afternoon.
