A SOLDIER KILLED
A member of D Company, 2(3 th Reinforcements, in the person of Private Andrew M'Laren, was killed on Saturday night by falling off the last troop train out of Trentham. The train left Lambton Station at 11.30, and when it was approaching Lower Hutt M’Laren accidentally fell off. His injuries were so serious that he died almost at once. The body was taken to Trentham Camp, where an inquest was held yesterday. Private M’Laren was a married man, his wife residing at Kaikorai, Dunedin.
