SCHOOL AT MAROTIRI.
For some time past I here lias been an agitation at Marotiri between Paxton and Moutoa, for the establishment of a school, there being a large number of children of school age in the district. The Senior Inspector, at the last Board meeting, could not recommend the proposal, hut suggested the carriage of pupils. This has been found impossible, and at last meeting of the Wanganui Education Board it was decided to strongly recommend lho Minister to grant the request, provided the residents contributed the eo.-d of a site and also a portion of the cost of erecting the building.
