FOXTON PATRIOTIC SOCIETY.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual genera! meeting of the above was held in the Council Chambers on Thursday evening, presided over by the President (Mr Alt'. Fraser). The hollowing officers were eleeled: —President. Mr John Chryslall; Committee: Mrs F. Robinson, Messrs Rev. Haine, Dr. Ma mil, F. Robinson. \V. E. Barber, R. MeMurray, C. Simmons, and a representative from each of the Fox ton Ladies’ Patriotic Guild and the Foxton Girls’ Guild. The election of secretary was held over till next meeting. It was decided to ask the Borough Council and School Committee to observe An/ae Day on Wednesday next, 25(h inst., and tlie celebralion Wits let’l as arranged by the Borough Council with the local ministers of religion. The report and balanee-sheel will be published in our next issue.
