BOROUGH FINANCES.

The Borough Treasurer submitted the following report at. last; night's Council meeting; —

“The following amounts were received daring the mouth of March and placed to crcdti as under: District Fund account £4(i4 12s 7d, cemetery account £0 ss. The balances of the various funds at the Bank of Xew Zealand as at the ills! -March, li)17, were as follow; District fund account, credit, £II,S 5s 3d, less uapresented cheques £Bl 13s l()d, £3O Lis sd, cemetery account, credit, £0 11s Id, and the ledger balances at the same dale as follow: Cemetery account £(i ,I.ls Id, contractor's deposit account. £3O. gas works account £238 7s 7d, hospital and charitable aid account £2B Is 3d, library account £8 ItisOd, reserves account £2l Kis Id, sanitation account £l2O Kis lOd, Whirokino bridge loan interest account £5 11s !)d, Shannon bridge loan interest account £5 13s 7d, Council Chamber loan interest account £5 (is (id.
