WEDDING.

CROWE—ROSS

A very pretty wedding was celebrated in the local Presbyterian Church yesterday afternoon, the contracting parties being Sergt. Crowe, of the 25th Reinforcements, and late of the Commercial Bank of Australasia, Wellington, sou of Air and Mrs Thomas Crowe, of Victoria, and Elsabel, eldest daughter of .Mr and Mrs John Ross, of Foxton. 'The interior of the church was charmingly decorated with dowers and greenery by the lady friends of the bride, who was a valued member of the congregation, a member of the choir. Sabbath school teacher, and treasurer of the Ladies’ Social Guild. The service was fully choral, Mrs Claris presiding at the organ. The seating accommodation in the cuhrch was taxed to its utmost when the bridal party arrived. The bride, accompanied by her father, was charmingly attired in while crepe de (diene and Honiton lace, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and was attended by her sister, Aliss Nancy Ross, attired in while crepe de (diene and shadow lace, with black hat and white plume. The bridegroom was in uniform, and was attended by Fte. W. Alonloeh, ol the Aledieal Corp, Awapuni. The Rev. J. 11. Bredin conducted the impressive service. The bride s mot her wore a navy blue crepe de ehene, and nude coloured velvet hut; All's Gibb (the bride’s grandmother) black merv. silk. As the party left the church they were literally covered with confetti, and hearty congratulations and good wishes were bestowed upon them. The bridal [/arty and gucsls were motored to the home of the bride's parents, in Thvnnc Street, where breakfast was partaken of and the usual, (oasis honoured. A number of guests wore entertained during the evening. Sergt. and Airs Grown left for Palmerston by motor to conned up with the Auckland express,cn mule for Rotorua, where the honeymoon will he spent. The hridc and bridegroom were Ihc recipients of handsome and useful presents from (heir numerous friends. I. 1 he bridegroom's present to the bride was a. valuable gold necklet, with acquamarine set ling, and to the bridesmaid a silver-backed brush, comb, mirror, elm The bride s present (o the pridegroom was a radium-faced wristlet watch.
