BOWLING.
The local club made all arrangements to receive three rinks from I lie Palmerston North Club yesterday afternoon, hut advice was received late in the morning that the visitors were unable to make the trip. The local players, consequently, laid to he content with competition and practice games. The following competition games were played:—
Handicap Singles. —Stewart (5) 23 heal Bryant (4) 21, Walker (4) 25 beat Stewart (5) 21. Bolder Cup.—l’. Whibley (scr.) 19 beat Ball (scr.) 15. Pairs. —Healey and Bail (2) 28 beat Wain wright and H.
