EXTEXSIOX OF HOURS .FROM TO-DAY. The local postmaster informs us that lie Ims received instructions from headquarters to extend the telephone hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., us from to-duy. Tliis news will he gratifying to suhseriherS, wlio in the past have been restricted to an 8 a.m. to 8 pan. service. For several years the number of subscribers to the local telephone bureau have been within a few of the minimum (100) which is required before the extension is granted. Having exceeded this number and gained the concession it is probable that other subscribers will now connect up. The, extension will be worked without any addition to the present staff.
