A committee meeting of the nbove was held on Thursday night, presided over by the President, Air P.ti. Jackson. Accounts in connection with the Autumn .Show were passed for payment. Special voles of thunks were accorded Aliss Woodroofe for the success which attended her efforts in conducting the sweets stall; .Mrs i‘meter (tea roomy. Air Cammock for milk, the Hand and Orchestra, judge.- and olliers who bad assisted. The Secretary presented a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the Autumn Show. The receipts totalled £2(i 7s lid (admission Id 2s (id, tea-room £2 Us Dd, sweets stall £(i 15s Id, sale of exhibits £1 -Is Id, entry fees —311 entries —£7 5s (id, special prizes £2 13s lid). .Expenditure, £2O 18s Ud (hull hire £l, prize money £l3, schedules £5 ss, advertising £1 10s, judges' expenses £1 11s, labour and cartage £1 2s). The statement disclosed a debit balance of 10s 7d. The president said the linancial results compared more than favourably with previous autumn shows. Lust autumn show disclosed a debit balance of £0 3s JAd, and in 1015 there was a debit: of 17s (id. The President said that the statement as compared with other years was very satisfactory, in view of the lad that autumn in this district was not so suitable as in other parts for displays of (lowers, vegetables and fruit. The president referred to the enthusiasm of the committee and stewards, and congratulated the Society upon its recent exhibition.
