PUBLICAN HEAVILY PENALISED.
Dannevirke, Yesterday. Mr M'Carthy, S.M., to-day lined Harold Welch, of the Hoyal Oak Hotel, Weber, ,CSO, with costs £5 13s 3d, in default three months’ imprisonment with hard labour, for breaches of the anti-shouting regulations. He held that defendant had endeavoured to escape punishment by indiscriminate perjury and subornation of perjury. He had a iso been openly Haunting- the regulation.
