HEMP AND TOW RETURNS.
The total number of bales of hemp graded in Wellington lasi month was 12.000, as compared with 1 1,408 for the corresponding period of last year, a decrease of J.SO2 bales, for the twelve monlbs ended, 281 b I'Vbruary. 1017, the number of bales graded was 100,330. as compared with 131,020 for the previous twelve months, an increase of 10,313 bales.
During last month 2,738 bales oi low were dealt with, as compared with 4,303 for the corresponding month of last year, a decrease of 1,027) ball's, for the twelve months ended 28lh February, 1.0.17, I lie number of bales graded was 38,000, as compared with 30,483 for the previous twelve months, an increase of 2,.180 bales. During the month the number of stripper bales graded was 170, as compared with 828 for the corresponding month of last year, a decrease of 040 bales. For the twelve months ended 281 b February, 1017, the number of bales graded was 7),073, as compared with 5,320 for the previous twelve months, a decrease of 247 bales.
