BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported as follows at last night’s Council meeting:— The following amounts were received during the month of February and placed to credit as under: District fund account £244 2s Od, cemetery account £2 17s Od. The balances of the various funds at the Bank of New Zealand as at the 28th February, 1917, were as follows; .District fund account, credit, £B4 12s 9d, cemetery account, credit, £3 18s lid, and the ledger balances at the same date as follows: Genie!cry £3 18s 11(1, gas works £155 1.4 s 8(1, general £74 Is 2d, hospital and charitable aid £27 7s 2d, library £9s 0s od, reserves £O9 9s sd, sanitation £152 8s 4d, town hall CIO Is 9d, Whirokino bridge loan £ss 9s Od, Shannon bridge loan £5 7> KM, council chamber loan £-1 3s Bd, Whirokino bridge lean No. 2 £l2 0s 9d, roads and streets loan No. 212 s Id, Beach road loan £3B 17s 7d, ail in credit, a total of £575 Is 10d.
