Mr Vernon D. Heed has announced ids candidature for the Huy of islands seat, rendered vacant by the resignation of Mr Stewart. The general opinion (according' to the ivawakawa correspondent of the .New Zealand Herald) is that there will not be u contest, this view being based on communications received from the various centres in the electorate.
