OBITUARY.

AIRS. CATHERINE SULLIVAN,

A(iEI) 8(i YEARS

The death is announced of Airs Catherine Sullivan, which occurred at the residence of her daughter, Airs M. Spelman, of Raninai, on Thursday, at the advaneed age of 8(i years. The deceased lady was well-known locally, having been a resident for may years. About three years ago she removed to Raumai. Her husband predeceased her twelve years .ago. The late Mrs Sullivan leaves a grown-up family of six daughters ami one sou, and a very large circle of-friends to mourn her loss. The funeral took plaee today, from St, Mary’s Chureh. The last riles were performed by the Rev. Father Cronin, The late Mrs Sullivan was horn jtl Hallingarey, County Limerick, Ireland, and arrived in Wellington 45 years ago with her late husband and family in the -.hip Warrington, after a stormy passage of four mouths. She arrived at Foxtou on the Napier, ami lived here utilil three years ago . Her daughters are Airs Carter (Stratford), Airs Howe (Marotiri), Mis Sean lon (Pahiatua), Airs M. Spelman, Mrs I’. P. Spelman, and Mrs Hanson, all of Raumai, and one son, Mr John Sullivan, of Shannon. There are 5-1 grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren.

The old lady retained Jut faeul lies right up to the last.
