MR. AITCHESON’S CHALLENGE.
Mr Aitcheson wated upon us this morning in connection with his recent challenge to compete with any all-round man to vindicate .certain rumours as to his qualifications. Mi Aitcheson says that his challenge was not solely restricted to the athletic side, but rather to those callings in the industrial held whereby a man earns his living, and upon which his qualifications were called in question. The challenge was inserted to give those individuals who had made such statements an opportunity to put the challenger and themselves to the test. Mr Aitcheson says he is prepared to accept Hie challenges of Messrs Ingram and Hunt, provided they are prepared to compete with him on the lines he will specify, not excluding those they have specified. Mr Aitcheson desires to state that in this challenge he is acting absolutely on his own, and no other individual is in any other way concerned in the matter.
