HORSE OWNER AND FIRST DIVISION.

Xapier, Feb. 5,

E. J. Watt, the well-known horse owner and sportsman, was to-day charged with failing to register as a member of the First Division. Evidence for the defence established that defendant’s home and interests were in Australia, and he was only here on a visit. The Magistrate said he thought a conviction could not be entered, but he will give judgment after consideration.
