“OUR PICTURES.” MONDAY AND TUESDAY. There are .several novel seenes introduced in ‘‘The Green Swamp,'’ the new Jnee-Triangle play, which will be shown a! the Town Hall on Monday and Tuesday evenings. There is a grand masked ball, which shows society people amusing themselves in an unconventional way. Instead of the conventional dress suits and stunning gowns, hundreds of men and women perform (ho onestep and fox trot in costumes of all nations and all times and classes. An element of comedy enters when Margery (Bessie Barriseale) discovers her husband, Dr. Allison (Bruce Mcßae), in spite of his disguise in an oriental costume of rubes and baggy trousers, and rushes up to him, putting out her reproaches for his perlidy hi dancing twice with the same woman. They both are so excited that they tear oft; their masks and gesticulate forcibly. Another scene full of intensity shows the woman sitting in the waiting room of her husband’s ollice. She writhes with jealousy as she hears a woman’s laughter within, and tinaily can contain herself no longer. She suddenly throws open the door, to find her husband playing with a child whom lie has just treated and the mother laughing with relief and joy at the sight of her child’s happiness. All the suspense that waits at a critical operation is shown in a scene in an operating - room. The surgeon is bending over the patient with Ins scalpel in Ids hand, and performs a delicate incision in the skull to conquer the deadly enemy, lockjaw. Outside of the door the young wife of the patient is wrestling with her jealous fears, not knowing that her husband’s life lies in the balance, and that her sudden entry might so disturb the surgeon that his kuife might slip and cause a tragedy. Will Margery yield to jealousy and cause ‘ disaster to the man who is- dearest to her, or will she put temptation under her feet .’ Por a moment that is full of human interest and intense suspense this scene can’t be surpassed. The items supporting lids grand feature drama are of a widely varied nature, a list of which can be ascertained by referring W the advertisement in this issue.
