DROWNING FATALITY.

A drowning accident occurred at the Whituunui mill, Mbutoa, on Sunday, whereby a lla.xmill worker named Daniel Rafferty lost his life. Deceased and others were swimming when deceased, without warning of any kind, suddenly disappeared. He never came to the surface again. It was very deep water at the scene of. the accident. The body was not recovered until about hours later. Deceased was a single man, 34, years of age, and bad been in this district for about live years. He was horn in Melbourne. A sister of deceased lives at Grey Lynn, and as far as is known there are no other relatives in the Dominion.
