TWELVE MONTHS FOR SEDITION.

F. H. Williams, charged on remand with seditions speech, said he would oppose conscription as long as he had a tongue in his head. He was an internationalist and opposed to war, and lie would always fight against it. Mr Bailey, S.M., said the defence was clever, hut the speech came under the regulations, and he would sentence Williams lo twelve months'.

George Marvin was sentenced to one month for :i seditious utterance in the Magistrate's Court to-day.
