FOXTON RACING CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING.
The above annual meeting will b,e held on Monday and Tuesday next. The course is centrally situated and well sheltered, and the Club has spent a considerable sum of money in bringing the public appointments up-to-date, while the track reflects credit upon the caretaker. The meeting is increasing in popularity every year, and although the dates conflict with the Wellington fixture, the local meeting attracts patrons from all parts of the adjacent districts. The secretary and stewards have left no stone unturned to make this year’s gathering equal to the best. The catering departments are in capable hands, and the Borough Band will discourse music at intervals during both days. The acceptances in all events are very satisfactory, and some- good finishes should result. A number of well-known horses have already arrived, and have been exercised on the track. The hotel accommodation was booked up in advance, and accommodation for visitors is at a premium.
