Yesterday afternoon n Foxton rink visited Terrace End to piny the holders of the Mamivvatu Ferns, and were successful in bringing those trophies back with them. On the first two heads the holders scored one on each, but on the next head Foxton pul on a three, and from this stage on were ahead all the way, eventually winning by a margin of seven points. The following are the teams and scores: — Foxton. Terrace End. Large Levy D. YVhibley Snell E. Whibley Tapp Eye (s) 22 Sollitt (s) 15 Foxton is now in possession of four trophies, Gold Stars, Awahou Feathers, Kinniburgh Feathers, and Manawaln Ferns, and on Saturday afternoon a Foxton rink will visit Feilding to endeavour to wrest the Mu nson and Barr Cup from the holder.-. Next Wednesday two challenge matches will be played on the local green. Levin is sending a rink over, skipped by Currie, to play the holders of the Kinniburgh Feathers and Harris (Terrace End) is bringing a rink down to play for the Gold Stars. Foxton's representative, Fimmer, at the championship tournament in Wellington this week, won the two qualifying games in the. Singles, beating Hutchins, of Dunedin, by 13 points to 12, and 20 points to 19, but in the second round was beaten by Foster (Caledonian) by 14 points to 12.
