CHRISTMAS MESSAGE.
TO NEW ZEALANDERS ON SIS II VICK Tlu> .Minister of Defence (Hon. J. Allen) Ims telegraphed to the heads of the various religions denomina--1 ions tin' text ol’ a Christ mas message which he is sending to our soldiers and sailors on active service. He asks that it he notified as widely as possible that all people are specially invited to carry out at S o’clock on Christmas morning what is indicated hy the message, which reads as lollows : “To New Zealand’s sons and daughters across the sens, Christmas greetings from your countrymen, who are proud of your splendid achievements and who arc in continual union with you in spirit, and thought. Make this union more real by joinin'*' with us, wherever you may lie, at .S o'clock on Christmas morning. at which hour every New Zealander has been invited to pray for vnur protection and continued success; for restoration to health of all sick and wounded; for comfort to those who suffer; and for your safe return after the work you set yourselves to do has been accomplished and a lasting and honourable peace has been won."
