The Patriotic Shop was open last, Saturday under Mesdames AustinJohnston and (tower, and good business was done, the proceeds going to the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund. Ross, Jas. Robinson, \\. Signal, A. S. Easton, Tyson, King, (.’has, Robinson, Cunning-ham. Oihhs, i-. de didder, A. Harper, Miss Speirs. Messrs McKnig'ht, Hughes, I'niser, Oreig-, C. Rand and Hussey. Xext Saturday the shop will he in charge of Mesdames Alex. Ross E. Procter and Fellow, and the proceeds are for the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund. r l’he weekly meeting of the Society will he, held at the Council Chamber on Thursday, the 14th hist., at 7.30 p.m. The badges for the Society have arrived, and are of very neat: design, and will he for use by all patriotic organisations in the town and district. The Art Union for Iho Maori curios will he drawn at the Town Hall on Saturday night next, without fail.
