“OUR PICTURES.” “THE RAIDERS.” Tile programme submitted at (be Town Hall la.--l evening proved to bo very good, and was beaded by a notable Triangle success, “The Raider,” a story dealing with the gambling on (be stock exchange. The well-known actor, IJ. B. Warner, appeared in the leading role as Scott Wells, the brokers’ clerk, who was very good in that character. His part developed into that of the hem who saved bis employer from ruin at the hands of villainous scoundrels who endeavoured to secure the broker's shares while detaining him compulsorily in a distant wood. The picture is well mounted, ami the various characters pleasingly sustained throughout. A good supporting- programme was shown in addition to “Tin; Raiders," which contained a scries of ollicial war pictures, a good comedy or two, and an instructive number of the Gauimml Graphic. This programme will be repeated tonight.

SATFRDAY. “IN TIIF BLOOD." The programme for .Saturday should prove a very attractive one, containing as it does several strong features. The foremost item is a remarkably powerful drama, “In the Blood," port raying the fateful influence of heredity on the lives of two men and two women. How (he younger man at length overcomes his weakness by the aid and love of a devoted wife, and the vicissitudes through which this brave little woman passed in her effort to combat the (*xil influence handed down to her husband ,forms a story of many sides and remarkable interest. The other items contain a drama of almost as gripping power, “Ashes of Happiness.” Doctor Maitland, a well-to-do physician, succumbs to the wiles of a handsome woman, a patient of his. Knowledge of what: is going on comes to his wife's ears, and she sues lor a divorce, and gels it. She, taking the little boy and he the girl. Years pass by and the doctor’s prosperity forsakes him, and he becomes a. wanderer in the country. The son meets with an accident, and it so happens tlint during his convalescence he meets a charming young lady, ulumi he subsequently linds is his sister. The story shows bow the children ultimately effect a reconciliation between the parents. Mention must be made of the Gbarlie Chaplin comedy, which will make you laugh fora week!
