There was a good muster ' of bowlers and croquet players on the local green on Wednesday afternoon. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs Perrean. A start has been made with the Club competitions, and the following are the results of the matches 2>layed this week; — Golder Cup. —D. Whibley (scr.) 19 beat Adrnorc (2) 18; Nye (scr.) 22, beat Large (4) 14. Pairs—Walker and ITislop (ser.) 19, beat Healey and Ball (2) 10; Stewart and Riinmer (scr.) 21 beat Walker and ITislop (ser.) 18; Large and F. Whibley (1) 20 boat Stewart and Rinnner (scr.) 15. On Wednesday afternoon next the postponed challenge match for the Gold Stars between Foxton and Shannon will be played at Shannon.
