MILITARY CROSSES EOR YEW ZEALANDERS. GALLANT ENGLISH OFFICERS. Loudon, Novem. 2U. The following New Zealanders have received the Military Cross; — Captain .Daniel Erie Dreamer, Adjutant, Otago Regiment. Captain Hubert Stachel Harley, Canterbury Regiment. '2nd. Lieutenant Allan Claude Cooper, Auckland Regiment. 2nd Lieut. Hassell des Forges Garland, Canterbury Regiment. 2nd Lieut. Samuel Thomas Seddon, Auckland Regiment. 2nd. Lieut. Francis Clive Upton, Canterbury Regiment. 2nd. Lieut. Septimus James Closey, 3rd New Zealand Rille Brigade. 2nd. Lieut. William Arthur Gray, 3rd New Zealand Ride Brigade. 2nd. Lieut. Wilfred Gordon Harrison, New Zealand Rille Brigade.

2nd Lieut. Jack Lister Braithwnite, New Zealand Engineers. Captain Ronald Graeme Orbell, .New Zealand Medical Corps. Rev. Clement llouchen, Church ■of England chaplain.

Distinguished Conduct Medals have been awarded to two Australians and four New Zealanders. Of seven Victoria- Crosses, the most notable eases are; —

Lieut. Bradford, of the Durham*, who, as temporary lieutenant-colo-nel, assumed command of two battalions and saved the si I nation when the Hank was endangered.

Sergt. Downie, of the Duhlins, who, when must of the officers were shot down, shouted “Come on Dubs.” His stirring appeal was immediately responded to, and the men rushed on. Downie captured a machine gun, killing the crew. The Duhlins then ' captured positions which had withstood Jive previous attacks.
