SPRING SHOW.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY NEXT
The entertainment committee of the Horticultural Society has arranged au atlractVc programme for the evenings of the show. Vocal items will be contributed by the best talent, the school children Avill give exhibitions of Swedish drill, and Mr KuoAvsiuh has kindly consented lo contribute a couple of step dances. A vocal competition for children is being arranged. A special feature of the ShoAV Avill ho decorative Avork hy the school children. Some of the hoys art is not confined to the girls, is not conhned to the girls. The tea-rooms will ho under the capable management of Airs Frank Procter, who Avould bo glad to receive donations of cakes ,etc., from the public. The Sweets stall, under the management of Miss L. AVoodroofe, promises to lie a great success. Ice creams arid cooling drinks will be obtainable there.
A tine sheep, donated by Air Woodroofe, will be disposed of by a weight-guessing competition (lie iii’st evening. The charge for admission has been lixed at the low figure of (id in the afternoon and Is in the evening. ENTRIES CLOSE at 0 p.m. TODAY. Late entires, at Is, will be received until 9 p.m. to-morrow, (Wednesday). The .Borough Band and Hr Betty’s orchestra have (as they have so often generously done in the past) consented to enliven the proceedings.
